According to the CDC, COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly through close contact from person to person, including between people who are physically near each other (within about 6 feet). People who are infected but do not show symptoms can also spread the virus to others. .

As we celebrate Black History Month, it is a time of reflection. A time to reflect on the importance of family and community as the strength of the Power of One.

Today, I became a statistic. I joined the 33 million Americans who have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Like many, I felt an enormous amount of relief. I also felt extremely grateful to not be amongst the over 460,000 dead, for amongst those included friends, relatives of friends, and extended family members. I felt thankful for all of the decisions made to sacrifice social events, dining out, and cancelled vacations.
